Pilates is a superb form of exercise whether it be for general fitness, acute/chronic injury rehabilitation, post surgery, pre and post pregnancy, children or for the elderly.
At The Pilates Zone, we will introduce you to the principals and key elements of Pilates which will form the basis of your programme. The lessons will focus on correct postural alignment and breathing technique emphasising the correct method of activating the deep abdominal muscles, whilst maintaining neutral spine alignment.
Each class will re-iterate the key principles of Pilates whilst performing a series of mat exercises. These will provide a comprehensive full body workout focusing specifically on areas of weakness and muscle imbalance. As a result of performing Pilates exercises regularly you will begin to notice beneficial altered body shape, increased muscle strength and improved natural posture.
